ABOUT OUR BULLS
Performance Records
All bulls have performance records kept.
AHIR (Angus herd Improvement Records) information is available with EPD’s to help with bull selection.
Ultrasound data is generally collected on most bulls and all of J Bar Angus keeping heifers annually.
Herd Health & Vaccinations
All bulls are sold with a BSE (Breeding Soundness Exam), with all herd health vaccinations given, including 8 way blackleg, Virashield 6 + VL5 and a dewormer.
Breeder Certificate of Virgin Status or Trichomoniasis test are given to buyer on bulls depending on age and registration status of the bull.
Bull Guarantee
The BSE is our guarantee to you that the bull is a satisfactory potential breeder.
All bulls sell with a 6 month breeding guarantee.
J Bar Angus sells 200+ bulls annually, with new crop of yearling bulls starting in the fall/winter and coming two year olds and yearling bulls in the annual bull sale held on the first Friday in December.
Availability
AI (artificial Insemination) and Herd Sires are used on the cattle herd annually. Pedigrees can be provided on Registered Angus bulls.
